Outside the hotel on ground level. The entrance is on the left while the floor to ceiling glass windows belong to a restaurant. |
Turn left from the hotel entrance is a one minute walk to a 24 hour McDonalds outlet
The window seats on the second floor are not bad. |
First Kitchen serves relatively inexpensive fast food. |
Diagonally across the traffic junction would be Lumine and MyLord (with a star on the building's facade). |

A hot meal in First Kitchen. |
The first thing we would see once we are done climbing: Krispy Kreme. At night would find a long queue snaking outside the establishment. An amazing sight! |

Hi,
Can you share with me your itinery and any websites to recommend for planning a F&E trip to Japan? I have been thinking about doing a F&E trip to Japan for some time but I am a bit hesitant due to the language barrier if I travel to the less touristy areas.
Regards,
Jane
Hi Jane,
There are many places you could visit in Japan. However, I found Osaka to be the most tourist friendly.
You would find an information counter set up just for tourists once you land in Kansai Airport. You should buy the Kansai Thru Pass at the counter for subsidised public transport which is otherwise rather expensive in Japan. The English speaking staff are very helpful.
The Kansai Thru Pass also allows you to visit Kyoto, Nara, Himeiji and Kobe. Make day trips out of Osaka. It is easy.
It also gives you discounts to hundreds of attractions together with a booklet on suggested itineraries.
I enjoyed both trips I made to Osaka and nearby cities with my family in recent years using the Kansai Thru Pass.
See: Kansai Thru Pass: Information.
My recent trip to Tokyo was with a friend who is familiar with the city and surrounding areas. So, I just tagged along. No planned itinerary per se.
Happy planning and enjoy the trip. :)
Miss the Krispy Kreme. Why Spore don't have ah?
Hi Yihhtan,
I am not a donut fan. So, I didn't try Krispy Kreme. You must really have enjoyed it.
You might want to introduce it to Singapore and start a frachise here. Good idea? ;)
AK, do you bite your fingernails?
Hi Anonymous,
Er... No, I don't.
